HONG KONG, February 19, 2008 – Global Sources' (NASDAQ: GSOL) 13th International IC-China Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China, http://www.iic-china.com), mainland China's largest system design event, is expected to offer engineers a record-breaking 1,400 booths in 2008 -- up 34 percent over 2007. The company plans to expand the event schedule for IIC-China from four times in 2008 to seven in 2009.

"IIC-China has continued to be mainland China's premier technical event, offering even more choices of business opportunities for participants through its robust growth," said Mark A. "Research firm, Euromonitor International forecasts consumption of high-street electronics to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 14 percent, reaching $151 billion in 2011 and iSuppli's IC Insights places mainland China's chip consumption at $100-billion by 2010.

"International and domestic demand for new electronic products is feeding new and fast-growing industry hubs in mainland China like Wuhan and Xi'an. Wuhan's electronics industry alone grew 58 percent in 2007.
