LAS VEGAS, January 7, 2008 – Global Sources' (NASDAQ: GSOL) first USA-based Private Sourcing Event (http://www.PrivateSourcingEvents.com) is scheduled to be held on Jan. 9 at the Las Vegas Hilton and to run concurrently with the Consumer Electronics Show.

Best Buy, Monster Cable and Staples representing over US$50 billion in annual sales, are scheduled to discuss sourcing opportunities with 16 Greater China personal electronics suppliers.

Global Sources' Chairman and CEO, Merle A. Hinrichs, said: "Last year, we held over 50 Private Sourcing Events across Greater China, making it easier for buyers to find quality suppliers and products.
