Global Sources Doubles Donations for Sichuan
Earthquake Victims to RMB 2,000,000
HONG KONG, June 12 - Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL) and its team members have donated RMB 2,000,000 to various charities involved in helping victims of the Sichuan earthquake - double the amount previously planned.
Global Sources' Chairman and CEO, Merle A. Hinrichs, said: "I would like to thank Global Sources team members for opening their hearts to the people of Sichuan province. "Their donations of RMB 1,000,000 far exceeded the goal we had originally set for team members. Because of their amazing generosity, the company has decided to match the full amount donated for a total of RMB 2,000,000." Global Sources previously donated RMB 500,000 to various charities in China. The newly-donated RMB 1,500,000 has now been distributed as follows:

Their contributions will help us to provide long-term care and emotional support for children in Sichuan who have tragically lost one or both parents to the earthquake."
